Quail Hunting

The day is quiet except for the gentle rustle of the tall grass, swaying in the cool breeze. The Brittany Spaniel dashes in and out of cover looking for the elusive Bob White Quail. You move along slowly, in full anticipation of the dog going on point and the whir of thundering wings as the covey bursts from the brush. It’s all here . . . the beauty, the excitement, the challenge . . . and the eager Spaniel who faithfully goes off to retrieve.

Whether enjoying a hunt with flushing dogs in the more traditional manner or utilizing the European driven style, the cackling of the birds followed by the bursting of wings is sure to be a wonderful moment.
