Trophy Bass Fishing
The early morning fog rolling off our trophy managed pond will set the stage for one of the most enjoyable activities you will experience at Barton Ridge. Whether relaxing at the waters’ edge or fishing from one of the boats, you’ll enjoy the quiet calmness of the day while still maintaining that realistic expectation of landing that 8+ pound trophy catch. Reeling in a few 2 pound bluegills is not bad either!
Catfish Pond
The most wonderful place on the property to provide for an exciting family outing! This well stocked pond knows no ages and can be enjoyed by “kids” aged 1 to 100. The joy produced by the squeals and laughter following a catch will provide many Kodak moments. So don’t forget the camera!
Trout Fishing (put and take)
Barton Ridge is blessed with many streams which offer a unique opportunity for the fly fisherman. A number of these streams will support trout except during the hottest summer months. The streams currently have a large population of red-eye bass, bream and other species. In the fall we will be releasing 2000 Rainbow Trout into Chipco Greek. We will try to catch these fish out before August. We will evaluate our success with this put and take program from year to year.
